An evolving beach resort that attracts thousands of tourists every year, Agia Efimia is a quaint little fishing village situated on the east-coast of Kefalonia approximately 31 kilometres from the capital Argostoli. The transfer time to Agia Efimia from Kefalonia airport is approx 70 mins.

The winner of numerous awards for its beautiful clean beaches and numerous small coves, Agia Efimia is popular for snorkelling and scuba diving. Almost unbelieveably Agia Efimia was one of Kefalonia’s most important trading places. Now it is a small, stunning seaside town with a shingle beach and bustling port that runs ferries to Kefalonias neighbour Ithaka in the tourist season.

Agia Efimia is filled with a number of tavernas (bars and cafes) situated around the quayside. Well stocked mini-markets and local shops offering a variety of goods for tourists. The resort is suitable for both singles and couples and is recommended for older tourists due to its flatter landscape.

There is also a regular bus service availabe to the stunning and famous Myrtos Beach.
