Before You Go
What do you need to arrange a holiday to the amazing island of Kefalonia

Before you come to Kefalonia for a visit you will need to arrange a flight and accommodation. Fortunately there are plenty of airlines that offer flights (although currently there are no budget airlines flying to Kefalonia) and flights from the UK tend to cost from £200 per person upwards.
While this may appear expensive a holiday in Kefalonia is worth paying slightly more for, infact the extra cost has made Kefalonia a slightly “exclusive/luxury” island, largely unspoilt by mass tourism. In our experience Thomson flights are frequently the best value for money however Thomas Cook also offer reasonably priced flights. To find the flight best prices we recommend you check both Thomson and Thomas Cook as they operate the majority of flights to the island.
Accommodation in Kefalonia is easy to find however as an exclusive island, hotels and villas tend to be more intimate without the mass/huge resort hotels you may find in other countries. The most popular resorts in Kefalonia are Lassi and Skala and as the largest resorts both have a great range of accommodation.

It is still wise to look at travel insurance for your trip though as cover can protect you and your family not only from medical bills but also it will cover things like lost luggage.
